Create a proposal

HelloSolo makes it easy to create polished proposals that win clients.

Start a new proposal

  1. 1Go to Dashboard > Proposals > New Proposal
  2. 2Select the client (or create a new one)
  3. 3Fill in the project details

Use AI to write your scope

Click the AI Write button next to the scope field. The AI will:

  • Analyze the client's intake form (if available)
  • Draft a professional scope of work
  • Suggest line items and pricing based on your history

You can edit the AI draft before saving.

Add line items

Each line item includes:

  • Description: What you're delivering
  • Quantity: Number of units (hours, items, etc.)
  • Rate: Your price per unit
  • Amount: Auto-calculated total

Preview and send

  • Click Preview to see how the proposal looks to your client
  • Click Send to email the proposal directly
  • Your client can view and accept the proposal through their portal

Track proposal status

Proposals move through these statuses:

  • Draft: Still editing, not sent
  • Sent: Delivered to the client
  • Viewed: Client has opened it
  • Accepted: Client signed off
  • Declined: Client passed
